Banagher College fields two Gaelic Football teams; Juvenille and Junior.

Junior Football

Our students played Mountmellick on Friday 9th Dec. Final score was Mountmellick CS:8 -6 Banagher College: 4-11.  Hard luck boys!

On 16th Nov Banagher College played Clonaslee in the North Leinster Junior Football Championship Round 1.  Full time score Banagher College : 5-21(36) Clonaslee VS : 1-4(7).

Having beaten Clonaslee, our Junior Footballers headed to Killina Secondary School on 24th Nov for round 2. With scores from Ricky Fitzsimons, Aaron Molloy, Shane Rigney, Luke Bowe, Finn Gohery, Rurairi Kelly, and Darragh Scully, BCCNS ended with a win. Final score- Banagher College 6-9, Killina SS 2-7.

Juvenile Football Blitz

Our Juvenile Footballers in celebratory mood after their win in the Offaly Coaching and Games Blitz at the Faithful Fields on 21st Oct 2021. Well done to all concerned.

Second Yr Boy’s Football

On 12th October 2021 2nd year boys played Coláiste Naomh Cormac.

Final Score : 5-8(23) Coláiste Naomh Cormac : 5-8(23)

On 13th Dec the second year boys football lined ourt for the North Leinster Championship Match against Killina SS. Unfortunately they bowed out of the championship with a final score of  9-6(33)  to Killina S S : 12-8(44). Hard luck lads!
