We compete at U19, U16 and U14 level.

 

We initially compete in the Offaly championships and if you come first or second here you go on to represent Offaly in the Leinster championships in Baldoyle, Dublin.

 

Our u 19 girls have been particularly successful over the last few years. We won the U19 C Leinster championship 2 years ago and this year were runners up in the B championship this year.

 

We have some outstanding badminton players in the school currently in Emma Grogan and Kieran Claffey who compete for Offaly on a regular basis in the club scene.

 

Badminton is a sport which the students particularly enjoy in the PE curriculum too and this is largely where we unearth a lot of talent. We try to link in players with the Boora badminton club run by the excellent Judy Bryant.
